    AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM Beyond the Bell After School Program is designed to meet parents' childcare needs, as well as provide social, educational, and recreational opportunities for students. Our programs are located on 14 campuses in Grand Prairie ISD for the 2024-2025 school year, serving Pre-K 4 - 6th grade students who can successfully function in a 1:17 teacher/student ratio. Our program is offered each school day from the ringing of the last bell until 6:30 p.m. For questions regarding registration for the 2023-2024 School Year, please contact our office. After School Program Information SUMMER CAMP Beyond the Bell Summer Camp offers action-packed activities and tons of fun! Our Summer Camp provides students with the opportunity to learn, thrive, and grow! Students must be between the ages of 5 to 12 years old and attend a GPISD school to attend Summer Camp. Some of the enrichment classes your student will be doing each week are: Team Building, Creative Thinking, Sports, S.T.E.A.M. activities, MindWorks, Arts & Crafts and much, much more!! Students will also enjoy field trips throughout the summer. Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack is provided as an option for your student daily at no additional cost. Summer Camp Information

  • Employee Child Care

    The Learning Centers are available to full time GPISD employees and follow the district student/teacher calendar. The centers are open from 6:30am to 6:00pm and are closed in the summer. The Learning Centers create a safe and enriched environment that promotes quality programming and assists in the healthy growth and development of young children. Program Philosophy and Goal of Learning Centers For the Children: To nurture the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child at their individual level so they may develop self-worth, respect of others and a love of learning. For the Parents: To be a resource and support for parents in the areas of child development and successful parenting techniques. To encourage parents to interact with the staff and their child in the development process both at home and at the center. For the Community: To support community-wide efforts to improve the care and education of children through teacher training workshops and advocacy effort. Curriculum GPISD Employee Child Care Centers utilize Frog Street Press and Scholastic PreK On My Way! curricula. Through these curricula children are taught using themes throughout the year which offer literacy and math lessons daily. Lessons are filled with songs, music, hands-on materials and activities, chants, games, make-believe, and stimulation for children's imagination. Teachers also use Read-Aloud activities to foster oral language and sense of story, building vocabulary. Program Information

  • Pre-Kindergarten

    The Pre-K program in GPISD has been developed using the TEA’s guidelines and early education best practices, including Dual Language at a majority of our campuses. Our program provides a rigorous environment to address developmental and social needs as well as the academic content and the readiness skills essential for children to be successful. Our focus is bringing families together in an educational community that helps to provide a rich environment in which students can develop and reach their potential. We intentionally develop strong relationships with students, their families and our community.
